Oakland California’s highest selling hip hop group to date “The Luniz” release there first music video for 2015!
As Hip Hop is getting older, a lot of the legendary music that helped birth its popularity, we are watching a lot of overnight celebrities not making the cut when entering there record deals, and people like Trinidad James are slowly dissipating into the hip hop hemisphere.
Due to the nature of how quickly some of these entertainers are in and out, many hip hop fans are tuning there music dials to the classic 80’s and 90’s hip hop. This has been a good thing for the platinum artists of our generation, and especially for Oakland rap group The Luniz.
Since The Luniz reunion back in October of 2014, they have released a Mekanix produced album titled “High Timez”. They have also secured two Livenation tours, first one being “Krush Groove”, and “How The West Was Won”, both tours featured acts like Bone Thugs, Dipset, E40, and other hip hop notables.
The Luniz embark on a new journey for 2015, hitting crowds of over 10k almost monthly, while promoting there new single and video “Hit Something”, featuring fellow Oakland Rapper Beeda Weeda.
The video is a sure party track, and shows the day to day life of the rap star. The video shows Numskull and Yukmouth smoking and drinking it up with an array of beautiful ladies at a house party, almost in tune with the popular nicknames, “Drankalot and Smokealot”.
The Luniz latest project “High Timez”, produced by The Mekanix, was released on the smokers holiday April 20th, 2015.
